Several times a year, usually in the Fall through Spring, we host a pop-up Afternoon Tea with artist and baker Svetlana Royzen.

Svetlana is Ukranian-American, having come to the US when she was in her early teens. Her baking is informed by the recipes of her grandmother, who taught Svetlana to bake, and helped to keep their family’s traditions alive during Soviet rule by storytelling through her baking.

Having graduated from the California College of Arts & Crafts, Svetlana brings a deeply artistic and modern quality to her Grandmother’s favorite recipes. You will notice elements of this during our tea service - the merging of the old world with the new, all while honoring tradition.

Our savory tea sandwiches are lovingly prepared in-house with the freshest, highest quality ingredients. We rotate through a selection of traditional and reimagined sandwich flavors, including pimento cheese, smoked trout salad, curried chicken salad, cucumbers with dill, and more.

Our tea service includes a selection of tea and wine for each guest. We have non-alcoholic drinks available to those who prefer not to drink wine. Our teas are sourced from Red Blossom Tea Company, based in SF, and Sol y Luna Tea, based in Oakland. Our wines are curated and paired with the food by Tala, and always offer a selection of sparkling, red, white, or sweet.

We host Afternoon Tea three to four times per year. December holiday season, Valentine’s Day/Week, and Mother’s Day are always on the list. Our tea service is always on Sunday so if a holiday does not fall on a Sunday, we will pick the closest one.

This event is ticketed and limited to four individual seating times per day. 12pm, 1pm, 3pm, and 4pm. When tickets become available you will be able to reserve your preferred seating time.
